Just as the New moons propel Yahuwah’s people into the beginning of the new month, The Feast of Trumpets propels us into the beginning of a New Year. Numbers 29:1 This feast was always observed by The Most High’s people in the 7th month according to Torah Leviticus 23:24, and like the New Moon celebration, was determined by the appearing of the 7th month’s crescent moon.

The Feast of Trumpets is somewhat a culmination and celebration of all the trumpets and New Moons, celebrated throughout the year. Remember that when the trumpets were blown, the people were gathered to The Most High for worship, and not only that, the trumpets also sounded to gather His princes of the 12 tribes, and at times to gather the soldiers of Yisrael to do battle with their adversaries who oppressed the nation. Numbers 10:1-10

Unlike the modern calendar that most of the world operates on, the Roman Gregorian calendar, the New Year is celebrated in January; Yisrael celebrated the new year during the Fall Feast. Though the first month of the Hebrew Calendar is in the spring, which is called Abib or Nisan, the fall feast were designed to celebrate the new year to come, by celebrating the goodness and mercies given by The Most High, with atonement and thanksgiving, hence The Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Indwelling (Tabernacles) an 8 day celebration. Leviticus 23:44

For the descendants of Yakoob (Yahsharel, Yisrael, Yahshurun -Deuteronomy 33:26) besides Passover, The Fall Feast are the most significant time of the year. While the Passover is about the Redemption and Exodus of The Most High’s people. The Feast of Trumpets, and the rest of the Fall Feast, are about preparing the people, for our King’s physical return and dwelling with His people. Scripture tells us that no man knows the day of this grand event, except The Most High Himself, Matthew 24:26-27, Mark 13:32, which is why I believe that His return will probably happen near or on The Feast of Trumpets, because no one knows when the New Moon will appear on this particular day, except The Most High Himself. While Yahshua is here in spirit amongst many of His servants and people, we are still awaiting the physical manifestation of our King.

So, this year and every year, remember the significance of The Feast of Trumpets and why we should observe this wonderful day. Remember that when the trumpets sound, that our Elohim is calling His soldiers to spiritual warfare against the forces of oppression in wicked high places, remember how The Most High bought us from New moon to New moon, and from month to month, by His grace and mercies; then sound the trumpets by praising Him, and sharing His goodness and the message of Yahshua and His return with others. Don't miss the gathering of His people, stay synced up! Shalom.

May The Most High bless you, and keep you [protect you, sustain you, and guard you]; The Most High make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with love and kindness]; May The Most High lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you Shalom [peace and blessings]." Numbers 6:24-26
