Day of Atonement Observation 2023

The Fall Feast has begun, & the Day of Atonement observation this year begins on the evening of 8/28/2023-8/29/2023. The Most High is fully aware that many of us have to work during this time, and He has provided grace through our Messiah, Yahshua for that. Remember when scriptures spoke of our Messiah, and fasting, 'When Yahshua heard it, He said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do. But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but transgressors to repentance.” Then Yochanan’s [John's] disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?” Yahshua said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn if the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast. No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made. Neither do people put new wine into old wine skins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.”'

Matthew 9:12-17

In short, if you are in need of healing, redemption, and restoration, our HaMashiach, then you should fast, and at this point, seems like we all should. Even if for a portion of the day, many of us have to work and The Most High understands that. And remember that He would rather mercy over sacrifice, so do your best, as we continue to strive toward Him, in the land of our captivity, because Yahshua is our sacrifice.

'On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a set apart convocation. You shall afflict your souls (fast). You shall do no kind of work; but you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD for a pleasant aroma :one young bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old, all without defect; and their meal offering ,fine flour mixed with oil: three tenths for the bull , two tenths for the one ram, one male goat for a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and its meal offering, and their drink offerings'

Numbers 29:7-9,11

And in Yahshua, we become just that...

'Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of The Most High Yah, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, set apart, acceptable to Him, which is your spiritual service. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and His perfect will. For I say through the grace that was given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith. For even as we have many members in one body , and all the members don’t have the same function , so we , who are many , are one body in Messiah , and individually members of one another , having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us : if prophecy , let’s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith ; or service , let’s give ourselves to service ; or he who teaches , to his teaching ; or he who exhorts , to his exhorting ; he who gives , let him do it with generosity ; he who rules , with diligence ; he who shows mercy , with cheerfulness . Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer, contributing to the needs of the holy ones, and given to hospitality.'

Romans 12:1-13
